The project is expected to generate Gross Gaming Revenues in excess of $300 million per year, over $1.6 billion during its first 5 years of operation; which translates into State and Local Taxes in excess of $130 million per year; approximately $700 million during the Facility’s first 5 years.

Live! will also be one of the major charitable contributors and participants in the community, as we are in each of the communities in which we are located. We are proud of the significant impact our companies have had on local philanthropic efforts around the country, including funding significant projects like parks and recreation facilities, health and wellness clinics, local hospitals and emergency responders and high-tech labs in schools. We have also worked closely with local community colleges and schools to provide mentor and internship programs and job opportunities for graduates.

Live! has signed a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) with all five community groups located in the neighborhoods surrounding its project in South Philadelphia, including the South Philadelphia Communities Civic Association, the Sports Complex Special Services District, the Stadium Community Council, the Veterans Stadium Neighbors Civic Association, and the Whitman Council.
The Community Benefits Agreement (CBA):

  • Establishes a Community Charitable Fund amounting to a minimum of $15 million in grants from the project to local communities during construction and the twenty years of operations
  • The Charitable Fund grants will be administered by a Community Advisory Board, comprised of members from each of the respective civic associations
  • Calls for Community Employment and Vendor Contract Opportunities for local residents and businesses during construction and operation of the project. Live! Casino & Hotel will hold special employment and operations vendor fairs for local residents and businesses

Absolutely! Live! will create nearly 3,000 direct and indirect construction jobs; and approximately 2,000 permanent new jobs for local and regional residents. It’s very important to us to be an economic engine for the communities where our properties are located, which means we make it a high priority to hire local residents first.

Live! will establish a partnership with local educational institutions to operate training programs for potential casino dealers and other hospitality workers at the casino. Our plan contains significant commitments to ensure the project has a diverse and inclusive workforce. These include, in part:

  • Pre-Opening Community Based Job Fairs
  • Local Job Placement Workshops
  • Online Job Postings, Job Matching and Customized Recruitment Services
  • Contractor Mentoring and Apprenticeship
  • Community-Based Information Sessions on Job Opportunities and Training Programs
  • Community College and University Partnerships for Job Placement. Live! has made a strong commitment to provide living wages, including a minimum wage of no less than $12.00 per hour for the 2,000 permanent jobs and all contractors during operations.
  • The 3,000 construction jobs will generate approximately $145 million in estimated new wages and salaries (direct and indirect) during construction, which will be all union.
